Well, most of you know that I am working with a debt settlement company and this is coming along fine. There were two small credit card bills that I didn't place with them because the amounts were too small. Well, today I paid one off!! It was a small amount but a triumph in my book!! That is one less thing to worry about Smile

Slowly but surely we are becoming debt free. Cool

People who are struggling with debts (myself included), your post is a hope to encourage that there is a way and we need to stick on with our moves of becoming debt free. Thanks for putting this up in front of all. It matters a lot!

I couldn't agree with you more but I do have a long way to go. I was just so excited because I am in a much better place financially than I was a year ago. No more pdl trap and that was a huge step for me. Also, with my debt settlement program, I will be done in September of next year. I just have to keep reminding myself of that when I am scare of where I'm going to get money to pay some bill Smile

Thanks ladies...... A guy I work with also runs a nut concession stand. He asked me today if I would like to pick up some extra cash on the weekends. I would be able to pick one day per weekend that I can work and he would pay me cash Laughing

So that's good but I don't want to interfere with time with my mom which he understands. The other office gal is going to help out too so we can come up with a schedule. Winter is coming and fuel oil may get expensive. We have enough to get through a couple of months but they are predicting a bitter winter for Ohio. Crying or Very sad

Mishele..We have this kick@ss spaceheater...I'll figure out what the brand is, and maybe that would help cut down on the oil cost...Our furnace was acting up last winter, and we could heat our whole kitchen and living room with this little thing....It's a little grey one and has some kind of blower in it...It's awesome..

I'll dig it out of the closet later and figure it out.

Every little step counts! and what a relief to have one more down! I know when we paid the IRS off,it was a big relief,still have more to go,but it makes it seem like you are at least making some headway and aren't stuck!...Karen

I need to go with a debt settlement co. but I keep reading all these bad things. I'm very scared. How do I know you people aren't working for the companies. I need help quickly & credit counseling said I should file bankruptcy. I don't want that, but I don't want creditors to hound me while I'm with a debt settlement co. Please help

Mary, what makes you feel that people posting here are promoting the debt settlement companies? Don't these posts sound real to you? Well, if you are still confused, talk with one of the companies and draw your own analysis. You will only make the best decisions. We are just putting up our experiences.

I guess I'm skeptical. I hope by reading these posts to find a reputable company, that is my main concern. I talked with one, Gyragrp but they have only been in business since last year. If you have had positive results, I'd sure like to know. thanks
