I'm scared to death. I've gotten myself into a bad situation that I'm not sure how to handle. I've taken out 2900.00 in payday loans with not really anyway to pay back. Any suggestions?

Hi!

You've come to the right place! First of all, relax. Things are going to be ok, I promise.

You just registered, in a few days a counselor will be calling you. Talk to them about your situation, there are companies that consolidate payday loans.

Sometimes it works for you to do it yourself, also. Everyone's situation is completely different. Take some time to read through this site. You will find a lot of different options and opinions. So many of us have been successful in fighting payday loan companies.

We are here for you. So welcome to the site!

I know what you mean. When I came here last winter, I literally almost cried..Because I thought for sure I was the only one who was in trouble with payday loans. It helped me so much to find other people who were in the same boat as me.

I just talked to Consumer counseling of america and they said they can't help with "payday" loans. I also called 1 800 338 2227 and they connected me to Consumer credit counseling of Nevada where I live and I might be panicking but I've left messages for a counselor there and she is not calling me back. Has anyone heard of a place called Clear-a-debt?

People here share their real experiences. There is nothing better than this. lnaj2, take some time out and browse through this forum. Many have come out of the payday loan mess and believe me, you will only feel better. Feel free to ask. A counselor will also call you for some professional advice.

I feel so lost, I filed a complaint with my AG office. This one payday loan place told me that PDL are not illegal in NYS and they will not do debt consolidation... Any ideas?

don't worry Sophia...They all say that. What company are you dealing with? I bet a dollar that they are illegal.
