I want to get these guys off my back as I have to continually reloan b/c I can afford not to after I pay them off every payday. I have heard nightmare stories about them -- anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to have to deal with wage garnishment or any of that other crap. My next payment is due Friday, so any advise today would be GREAT!

Guest,
They cannot garnish your wages without a court order, and since I doubt they are licensed in your state, they won't be able to get one.
They can, however, use a wage assignment. Have they threatened you with this, or contacted your employer? This is completely voluntary..Since the mid-eighties it is your right to rescind it at will. All you need to do is send a letter to Sonic stating that as of this date you do not authorize any wage assignments and you revoke your digital signature authorizing them. Then send a letter of defense to your payroll dept..This simply needs to say that you do not authorize any voluntary deductions.
