Subject: xxxx-Route 66 Funding Notice of Missed Payment
| Quote: | xxxxx,
Unfortunately your recent payment of $79 made on the 09/29/2006 has been returned by your bank (reason: No Authorization)
It is of course possible that there has been some administrative error and if this is the case, we would urge you to contact us and your bank to clarify the situation. The bank account from which we attempted to debit the funds was the same account into which we placed the loan initially.
If there has been some administrative error or you wish to discuss this situation, then please call us on
1-877-564-7739*
Thanks,

My bank backed me up since I had all the supporting documentation against Route 66 and reversed some charges, this is why Route 66 sent this to me.
What amazes me is that the last correspondence I had was they would not bother me till they did their own internal investigation into my allegations and come up with an amicable solution for both parties. Granted I filed complaints with the AG's office, FTC, and BBB about them and other pdl's that I had overpaid.
Its getting a little easier since I am battling these pdl's gratned I still have debt with cc but I am taking one step or should I say debt at a time.
Has anyone received an email like this?

I used to get them regularly from Interim Cash Ltd., which is another name they go by. My emails were exact duplicates to yours, even the same "Chris Wilson".
Next, you'll probably start getting emails from their "Investigations Dept." saying they are going to verify all of the info you provided when you took out the loan and to avoid this potential embarrassment, please call today to discuss your loan.
I actually overpaid them by a few hundred dollars so I wasn't going to pay another dime. I responded to each and every email they sent and never got a reply. They also never contacted my employer and as for verifying my info., this should have been done before they issued the loan, and since they are a "paperless" company, they don't have a leg to stand on. They just try to scare you. I filed a complaint against them on the FTC website.
Hang in there, you're doing well in handling your pdls.

One reason of sending such emails is to make some more money in late fees. I have a loan account with my bank who were supposed to deduct the monthly installments. Suddenly, they sent me a mail saying that they were unable to debit from my account because of NSF. I was sure of having money in the account, so I questioned the bank why this letter was sent to me. They had nothing to prove that I was in the wrong. I knew that if I hadn't struck back in time, they would have charged late fees on my loan account and maybe I would have paid it. But thank god, it didn't happen. Now, the bank is careful when going through my file.

This seems like a standard reply. I would e-mail them back and state not to contact you at work in any manner. I would also send this via certified mail with return receipt if you have their physical address. This way you will have proof they received the letter. Keep us updated on your progress and keep one foot in front of the other .

Reply back that you have filed civil suit against them in your circuit court. Then do file suit. They won't bug you anymore...

That is the same e-mail that GFSIL sent to a friend of mine, also signed by Chris Wilson. She has sent several e-mails including a return on this one. They never answer, but did call her the other day on her cell and told her they were sending someone to her home to arrest her, she laughed at him, called him a schmuck and told him they would talk after she received a letter validating loan amount and payments, and she would be waiting for them to show up.
Oh, she also to "Chris Wilson" she was considering taking them to court. He hung up on her!!

I received the same e-mail. They have been calling my job 3 and 4 times a day even though I and the company secretary have told them I can't receive phone calls at work. When I call them, the line is always busy or I get disconnected. They also do not reply to my e-mails. I have paid them and now they won't leave me alone. What should I do?

Have you checked if the principal amount is paid off with Route 66 Funding? You need to do everything that helps to get the account marked closed and have a written proof. Which number are you calling? Try 877-564-7738 and see what happens.

As you can see we received the same thing. This is the response my husband and I sent them. So far we have not heard anything else from them, no calls, no payment reminders or anything. Now we did receive 2 of these notes from 2 different transactions they tried and we just sent them the exact same copy of our response the second time. I have been watching the account to make sure that they dont' try anything else. Trying to get that account to a positive so it can be closed, but have a little ways to go yet, but working on it. Hopefully they have finally stopped, but I am not holding my breath.

There has not been an administrative error or a mistake with the payment being returned. You were informed that we had revoked authorization to debit our account and that we were not going to pay you any more money. All debits from you or your affiliates will continue to be returned. You are not licensed in the state of NC. You are operating illegally. A complaint has been filed with the Attorney General and with the Better Business Bureau. Also, as previously stated, we will only communicate with you via email or through the USPS. We know all the tactics you may try to use to get more money, such as threatening us with the police, etc, but we are not afraid of you, we know that the police is not going to come pick us up because there is not a debtors prison, we also know that if you try to do anything else, the law of the state is on our side and you will not be able to do anything due to your not being licensed and operating illegally. The account that you are trying to debit from will be closed soon. We will not give you a new account number and we will not be making any more payments to you. Below is the original letter that was sent to you. You can say that you cannot respond to emails all you want, but if you are able to send payment reminders and something in reference to a payment being returned, you can very well respond to an email.
Below is a copy of the original email sent to your office:
I am writing in regards to my payday loan I have for $200, (which I have paid $455 on). I have been informed that in the state of NC that payday loans were prohibited in the state per the statue listed below. In discussing this, I was informed that it did not matter where the lender was, the transaction took place in the state of NC, (meaning the deposit and withdrawals on my personal checking account), and that is against the law. At this time, I am asking that you please mark my account PAID IN FULL, due to the amount I have paid, which ismore than double and then some, of what I borrowed. I am also requesting a refund of $250 due to overpayment. Per the AG office, I have paid back the loan plus fees and since these types of loans are prohibited in the state of North Carolina interest cannot legally be charged, so I'm requesting at this time that my loans be marked paid in full, that no further collection activities will commence against me for this debt, that no derogatory remarks be left about this debt at any reporting agency, and that proof of this is sent to me in writing, along with the amount due for refund. I feel that I have met my obligation to this loan according to the law, (see below)
