i was chatting with steelers1 last night getting info. on payday loans and i was trying to bet back in contact with him. i need to know what to do

i was called today twice and was told that i need to do something, or at 2pm today there were going to send out an affidavit for me. i called a guy and he told me that i did have to pay but not all they were asking. i have to come up with 200 dollars by monday. i have no money, and yes the company that was calling was from bass & associates. they told me that the bank that issued the money doesn't care about my situation, and they don't want the money, they want to persue me and give me a record.

Sorry, but SCREW this company, here they go AGAIN making illegal threats. Nobody is coming after you, and you are NOT going to have any type of criminal record, you have NOT committed any crime. On the other hand, this company commits them all the time and they did so today by making false threats which is extortion. Tell them to go #$*&! off. (You can fill in the blanks) Get in touch with FL AG's office, this company has complaints stacking up against them. I know you are having pdl troubles, and am I safe to assume that this is in response to one of them? This company can't do anything to you, they lie, to get your money, that is EXTORTION. Let them know you are going to file a police report against them and you are going to get your own afadavit. They are idiots. I know it is scary to have an ex-con on the other end of the phone threatening these things against you. But they are lying. Don't send this company a dime. All an afadavit is is a sworn statement. Declare your own sworn statement against them.

You can draw up your statement and go have it notarized and fax it to these losers. The only thing they know about the law is how to break it.

I got in contact with a guy and he told me the same thing. He did say that i don't have to pay the fees, but i will have to pay the money that i borrowed. I don't know how i can get the info. On how much money was taken from the account in to beginning. I guess they did something and a guy with an accent called and said that he was calling me with my case number and he had an affidavit for me.

Bass & associates says that the bank doesn't care about my situation, and she didn't want to hear my problem because they really don't need my money. They want to make a case and give me a record. The guy that told me that i didn't have to pay the fees said that i have to pay 400.00, but i would have to have 200 by monday, this shows him that i want to pay my debts and i would have to work on the other later. The other payday loans have made arrangements with me. Im not having any problems with them. They contacted me when my account got closed and the companies that did not contact me, are the ones that is trying to give me a bad name. Will the money that came out of my account before hold up for me, and i can use that towards my principal. I know never to get another loan. Like i told the people i didn't know this situation was going to happen to me. But im the one getting treated like the bad person and looking like the bad guy

I think they may have been the same yahoos who called me today (anyone hear of Sonny Patterson? I called my attorney all upset about these so called legal charges and you know what he told me to do? Hold down the #3 on the phone for about 5 seconds. The effect on a person wearing a headset would be quite painful. Do not send these crimnals a DIME!!!! They can not do a thing to you except annoy you.

Wow. Well they have really gotten to me. They told me they could get me at work or home, where ever they find me first. They make it seem as though im hidding and closed my account on my own. The bank closed the account to help me. Everything was fine then these companies had access to my account and taking money from me on a weekly basis

So there is nothing that bass & associates can do to be. Well i did get a call from someone today saying they had an affifadit for me and a case number and they told me to write down the case number. I don't know where they were calling from. Ill get back on line when i get home. Im about to leave work

It's all crap Shanellg. I am lucky enough to have attorney representation, and he has GUARANTEED me that there is nothing they can do. I have had my home number changed and I just hang up on them at work. The one call that got through came from my payroll department. Oh and I did close my own account. Under the direct advice of my attorney. You have done nothing illegal in doing that.

There certainly are things they can do, but I'm not sure what, exactly, they are threatening. An affidavit alone has little legal significance.

If they give you a case number, go down to the courthouse and find the case.

And if it is legal in your state, start recording their phone calls.

They are calling you from FL, you NEED to get into contact with FL AGs office, this is the same company that was going by Ellis & Crosby. They are crooks and I'm telling you they are a bunch of ex-cons trying to collect money. Nothing is going to happen to you, NOBODY is going to come to your work, home, or anywhere to arrest you. His afadavit isn't worth the piece of paper that it is supposedly written on. He probably doesn't even know what an afadavit is, he is just following a script (an illegal one) What they are doing is VERY ILLEGAL.

No matter what they say, don't give these bozo's any money. Make them vaildate your debt. I know first hand about them b/c i paid them $820 for a $300 loan that was illegal in my state in the first place. Not only did they get my money, now when i try to call back for a refund, all i get is their stinkin' voicemail. They are full of !@%?...and they know that they are breaking the law. They will not answer the phone to me now, b/c they know what i have found out. I, too, filed my complaint with the fl ag office. Good luck in dealing with these jokers...

Sam, this is a company that does collections for internet pdls. You would not believe the lies and bully tactics they use to take money. They will tell you that you have until a certain time during that day to get money wired to them or the sheriff will come to take you away, they will tell you "I have an afadavit" And I have been saying, so what to the afadavit, anybody can give a sworn statement. There isn't any case number, that is one of the lies they use to scare people. They are operating out of Jacksonville, FL, they aren't going to any courthouse because they are probably wanted felons. You should google them on this site and see what experiences others have had and how much money they lost to these crooks.
