Hi
There is no condition that a guest must register before participating in the forum. But we always like to grow as a community and everyone is a privileged member. You can be a valuable part being a guest also.
You can still continue to post anywhere in the forums. The threads that are locked were done due to some specific reasons necessary in that point of time. It was not done to disallow guests from posting in the forums. If this would have been the motive, no guests could have been able to post here. We treat our members and guests equally.
Thanks
Mike

Guest are always welcome on the forums. You do no need to register to participate, however if you plan on sticking around, then it is the preferred method.
The reason I locked the post was exactly why I stated. It was getting too long over one question. Certain accusations were starting to be made without proof, and it appeared that bashing was starting.
Also, if there are other issues that I am not aware about, please feel free to send me a private message. If you feel my actions were wrong, then you can send a private message to Denny, the administrator. You will need to become a member in order to send private messages.
If there is additional information any community member has regarding Longhorn, please start a new thread. You can put a subject line to label the topic.

guest, you are always welcome on this forum. You are not REQUIRED to register to participate, but you can't get the call from the counselor if you don't. Plus, as a member you get a bunch of perks, like points for your posts. If a thread is locked, it's because it was offensive and out of hand. There is no favoritism here, everyone's opinion is welcome. Please stick around.

Do I agree with the thread being locked? No. But it isn't my decision to make and I can't argue the point. What I do agree with was the one specific attact against cbigfan7, it was offensive and uncalled for and obsurd. If you don't want to register, then I think that is your right, however, as Mikey stated, you would be missing out on some perks. Something to consider, but advice is always a good thing when it is done in a tasteful manner without insulting others and their intelligence. Should you be a registered member to give advice? I don't think that should be a requirement to give advice. But again, you would be missing out on some perks of being a member.
