Payday OK response

As y'all know, Langhorne is doing all my settlement letters, and has got a lot of my accounts settled paid in full. A friend of mine had only 2 outstanding loans with Payday OK and Payday Select, and not really enough to warrant paying an attorney to settle (she has been paying a REALLY long time) so I decided to use the letters y'all have come up with and try and settle it ourselves. For example, She has already paid over $1100 on a $500.00 loan to Payday OK. I even was so bold as to request a refund of the amount overpaid as per Texas law. So after 3 days of continuous e-mailing and faxing today I get this:
Quote:
We are in receipt of your fax. Your account has been placed in special handling pending review.

Thank You,

So has anybody ever got this response from them? And if so, how long did it take for their "Special Handling Team" to actually...ummmm..... what's the word I'm searching for?...HANDLE it! Should I keep bugging them?

You have caught their attention. Their "Special Handling Team" will come to know that you have paid so much on the account. Following the laws, they will need to mark your account "paid in full" . You may also mention that you are filing formal complaints with the DA's office if the account is not checked properly. They will be forced to do what is right. Keep pushing!

I am still going to go after them for a refund though. About $360.00 in excess interest was paid per Texas State law. According to the BBB website, it looks like they have issued refunds to resolve disputes in the past. So I guess I have a shot

I have seen where they have been marking people PIF, but anyone have any success getting a refund? I'm sure a lot of people are just happy with PIF and don't push any further.

I got a refund from PaydayOK, too. They were great to work with. Even settled my loan for $500 and marked me paid in full.

Good Luck!!

I just received a PIF e-mail from the Special Handling Team. However, I still am pursuing a refund for $2K. For anyone who has received a refund...did the notification come from the same department? Thanks!

I would keep bugging them until they give you a refund. I am going after three internet payday lenders who are not licensed in my state that I have overpaid by hundreds of dollars. Enough is enough and I have filed the proper complaints. Now is just the waiting period to hear back from them.

I actually sent them a "thank you for responding to me" e-mail, then I asked when I could expect my refund and how much would it be. We'll see what happens. Thanks!
