Studen Loan Default

Hi. I had defaulted on my student loan some time back. It went from one collection agency to allied interstate. After reading all of these comments, I am now nervous about the arrangements that I have made with Allied. I gave them my bank routing number and they took some money out and will do so again later this month. Should I continue to do so? They have also told me that once I continue making a certain amount of payments, the loan will go back to Sallie Mae and will be wiped out of my credit report? Thanks.

If Allied has the authorization to collect your payments, you have to give your checking account info or make other arrangements.

Did allied interstate give you the debt info in writing? Whatever they say, it must be in writing. This will be useful in case there is any need to dispute.
