Hi, and welcome to the forums
As part of the fdcpa, debt collectors may not contact you at work if they know your employer disapproves.

If it is Sears collecting on its own accounts, then yes. It doesn't make much sense for them to keep calling if you tell them to stop, because it would be a fruitless effort and it would alienate the customer. But they can so long as it does not constitute harrassment. (Albeit, what constitutes harassment? It is a subjective word.)
Now if they send it to a collection agency, the CA is bound by FDPCA and if you tell them to stop then they have to. |
