I worked as a collector for a little over a year. And I was good at it. Because I showed respect to the people that had the debt. I never called them at work unless that was the only # I had. And I always asked for a different #. No one at work needs to know your drama. It always makes you feel worse. You know you owe, you just want someone to understand. I always made arrangements that they could afford to pay. And I always cleared my accounts. I finally left the collection department of the company I worked for when my supervisor kept telling me to get tougher with the people. He told me they were all laughing behind my back. I was getting the money they owed, who cares who's laughing? As long as the debt was paid. I am now on the other side and getting ready to file for bankruptcy, I have one company that is local, coming to my house everyday and banging on my door. It sucks. I tried making arrangements to honor my debt, but no one wanted to work with me. So, this is my only option. I will be thrilled when I am no longer stalked at my home!! Good luck to all who are trying to do the right thing.
as far as getting calls from this #, I will be glad to longer have them calling me as well.

This is a zombie debt collection company named Omni Credit Collections. They buy 8 to 10 year old accounts and try to collect. They just like to drive customers nuts and know they can not sue because the debt is over the statute of limitations.
