please can some one help me. Hi, I'm not sure what's going on here. But I applied for a payday loan with these people on 12/20/06. I sent all my info. The next day on 12/21/06, I received a phone call from them and they wanted to make sure everything was for real, so we called the bank on three-way, and he confirmed my house address. I was supposed to recieve my pay day loan yesterday and I never got it. Also, there only a 866 number where you cannot get a person just recording. Now these people have my info. they're are part of MTE Financial. I've seen a lot of bad thing about them now. Now I'm afraid that try to take money out of my account and I never received the loan.

Hi, welcome to the forums. You need to go to your bank as soon as you can..I know this is a Holiday weekend and they won't be open on Monday, but go as soon as you can on Tues. Explain everything to your bank..I know it's embarrasing, but they need to know the details so they can protect you.

Also, please reconsider the PDL. It has been my experience that they cause nothing but heartache. Keep trying that 866 number, leave messages...Please try and cancel the loan. Good luck, and keep us updated on how it goes. We're here for you.

This place has totally ripped me off. I am a college student at UT. In the end of October I got Mono and had to pay a bunch of Doctors bills. To help me get back on my feet, I decided to do an online payday loan with tendollarpayday.com BAD IDEA. They have been charging my account $60 per WEEK and this month they have been charging it every couple days. These aren't the terms I agreed on. I have called their numbers over and over trying to just pay off or stop the charges but I always get an automated system with no option for any of that!! This morning a $110 charge debited from my account and sent my account really far into the negative. I finally found a number and talked to an actual person just now... someone named Brandy who says I still owe them $195 which has been pre-authorized to come out of my account on Jan.12! I have paid them nearly $600 for a $200 loan. If that charge comes out, it will be nearly $800 which is obsurd! This is very difficult for me and I need some serious advice.

You may have to go open a new account with a new bank before it is too late in order to take control back of your finances. And once your bank closes that account for being overdrawn you can then work out a payback plan with them. And with this company you will need to send them a voluntary wage revokation letter because I think there is a claus for that in this pdls contract. Also file a complaint with your state's AG office as this company isn't licensed in many states to provide loans.

Ooops again, Tendollarpayday is affiliated with MTE, ameriloan, and Rio so I'm not sure if there is a voluntary wage assignment in their contracts. But I guess it doesn't hurt to play it safe.

I've been trying to reach this company for weeks. no response. I need to know more about this place. I will have my bank account closed. Then maybe someone will get in touch with me.

Yes close your bank accuont and reopen a new one but do not give MTE that information. They willcontact you. How much have you paid them versus how much you borrowed? Also what state are you in?

I just received an email from MTE regarding my Quickest Cash Advance payment. They said I could reach them by phone by dialing 1-800-325-8208 or by email recovery(at)invcity.com. I haven't tried either. I probably will contact them sometime today, but you might want to try one of these methods and see what happens.

I would definitely contact them by email or US mail or fax. These companies cannot be trusted and all they will want to do on the phone is argue. Get anything you can from them in writing. They will try to browbeat you on the phone and harass you into paying and will also threaten you with jail, etc.

Yes, get everything in writing.
I had to pay $20 to get my number changed -- but everytime the phone rights, my heart doesn't jump into my throat.

And I know it's someone I want to hear from. Smile

You are lucky Sarah. My husband won't let me change our phone number even though the only people that call it are bill collectors. He thinks that is a stupid idea. Sad But everyone we want to talk to calls our cell phones.

Is the phone in your name?
The phone is in mine, and so I'm the one that makes the decision.
