I had a bad check collection with Certgy that was over two years old, never heard a word about it until I went to write a check and it was declined. Needless to say i paid the check back but it still shows up on my CR even after I dsputed that it was paid

I have a notation from Certgy on my credit report. When I contacted them to inquire they said it was for a check written to a store I've never dealt with in a state I've never bought anything in! They gave me the DL# that was used at the time the check was written, I provided proof from the State MVD that it was not my DL# and they still refuse to clear it off my credit. Watch out for these guys, their information is never checked out for accuracy and it has ruined many credit ratings for alot of people!

MRS is not a credible company to do business with on any level. There are a fair portion of attorney's working to fight the unlawful practices employed by MRS and Associates to collect past due debts. When you call them, (please do not) don't give them ANY information about who you are...not even your last name! They have been trying to contact me through my ex wife of 20 years....gave this # 434-533-9007. When I called them back (not knowing who they were), they told me they were trying to "get some details regarding my claim".....I do not have a claim. I asked them to help me figure out what this was about and WHY they would call my EX-Wife by telling me what the claim was about, what type of services the company provides, who filed a claim.....something! Each time they said I had to give them my social and refused to explain anything about their company and hung up on me. NOW, I started telling them their call is being recorded....my my my how the attitude changes. Still hang up on me but now I am in cahrge.....oh what fun it is to be the one to call a low life debt collector and hassle them. To all my peeps out there in credit land......STAY AWAY FROM MRS ASSOCIATES: 434-533-9007 Supervisor: Dave Daniels They are scum, and will illegally harrass you, if you are not careful scam your money from you. Check with yopur local/state authorities for legal debt collection practices in your area....MRS will likely violate most of them.
