Hello!!!

We recieved a call from Palisades Collection Agency for reasons wew have no idea.. It came on one of our cells, and to return the call and speake with someone we had to punch in a social security #, which we did not do. Is there a way we can find out what the debt could possibly be... we had credit reportd run two months ago and all was well.....

Palisades collection LLC - 201-567-5648 is a Delaware Limited Liability company. Their address is

210 Sylvan Ave
Englwood Cliffs
NJ 07632

Give a call and ask them to validate the debt they are collecting for. Send a debt validation letter to their mailing address and cover yourself legally. They will have to give you the info before attempting further collections. The entry by this CA will stay in your credit report only if there is a genuine reason. If they don't provide you the info, dispute with the CRA and get them off from your file.

I would ve very cautious about ANY phone system asking for your SS#. With that I'd assume they can put the caller ID name and possibly match the numbers and BAM! Name, address, SS# and the proud new owner of a maxed out credit card!
I would report this to the police, this sounds really phishy.

I don't know anything about other collection agencies caller ID but ours doesn't come with names attached. It likely ask you for a SSN# to pull information from the file.

I personaly wold not ever enter my information like this, not because I fear a scam or that someone is out to get me but because I feel they should be telling me what the number is, or at least the last 4 digits, not vise versa so that I may confirm it or not.
