Hey guys, my question is if its worth using a debt settlment program in 2007? I'm going to cancel out of the SDS one i applied to i havn't paid anything yet but its not worth it i dont think. Also is there a really good consolidation company that takes cellphones in collections into their program? thanks!

If you are looking for one debt settlement program, you will have to take risk involved with it. If you want to play safe, pay the debts on your own. Get help from the DIY section, you will get useful tips on negotiations with your creditors.

The creditors will not take any actions if you are able to keep your accounts current.

Sometimes, it gets tough to make payments on their own because of high interest rates and fees. At such situation, professional help is much needed to get an affordable repayment plan. You may consider a debt consolidation program if that sounds to be a better choice. Your accounts will remain current unlike the debt settlement plan. Did you talk with any company that can offer you a consolidation plan?
