Since i couldnt get approved for a loan on Prosper, i now have decided my next step is consolidating my debt. I owe more than $10k in debt of which $1850.00 of it is in in Payday loans. I pay $430.00 a month for payday loan refinancing ($215 EVERY 2 WEEKS). I am due to make $215.00 of it this friday. I want to consolidate before then so i can save money. If anyone knows a legitimate debt consolidation company. please let me know....PLEASE!

If you are due to have the payday loan finance charges taken out of your account this Friday, I would recommend contacting your bank to block the debits made by the payday lenders. Even if you sign up with a debt consolidation program, this won't stop the payday lenders from hitting your account.

How long have you had these payday loans out, and are they online loans, or storefront? If they're online, and depending on how long you've been paying the finance charges to roll over the loans, you may find that you've paid back the amount you are legally obligated to, according to the payday loan laws in your state.

What state are you in, and who are your loans with?

Can your call the lender and request for some extensions? You need to convince that you are trying every way to make payments. If some arrangements can be done, it will be helpful and you will stick to the plan. There is a list of companies in the ranking chart, most of them do consolidation as well as settlement

I have several payday loans that are overdue because I was scammed out of money from a "long term online loan company", each of these payday loans have been rolled over the max number of times with the exception of two. When all these companies sent their withdrawls through, they were returned because I was so overdrawn at the bank. When my August retirement check went into the bank ALL of it was taken for the OD fees. My account at that bank is now closed. I just want to get these payday loan people paid and forget this. I was ripped off by Fast Cash International who I thought was a collection for a payday loan company, I thought I had paid off one of the payday loans through them when I sent them $415. I am 73 yrs old and these people and their scams have ruined my health.
