First off---please don't type in all caps, I realize you are upset, but it makes it very difficult to read. Are you asking a question? This is a community message board forum where we discuss debt/credit issues. Did you mean to post here? I only ask cause you post seems like it is about cable service.

It sounds like Dish network to me. Neveragain, call Dish and tell them you're switching to Directv. I think they'll help you out.

I have Dish, and right now, my 2 downstairs connections will not get local channels, they did in the beginning but not now. But the 2 tv's upstairs get local channels. Dish told me I would be charged for the service call. I do NOT thinks so. I'll just go upstairs when I want to watch the local networks.

I have Directv, and I won't pay for locals..We have fancy rabbit ears for that!
Directv made me mad over something awhile back..I won't dump them because of NFL Sunday ticket, but I told them I was leaving them for Dish. They gave me a free DVR and 3 months of STARZ! for free.

Cable is outrageous if you want a descent selection of viewing options, Dish does not help when you are experiencing a problem. I always like direct tv, but my cable company offers a package deal for both internet and tv, so I will stay with them until verizon comes my way.

I have had both - directv satellite dish and cable. I liked the directv, but whenever there was even a slight thunderstorm or heavy cloud cover, we'd lose our signal until it passed. Some nights, that meant no tv all night, especially in hurricane season.
I have cable now, and I've had the digital cable for 6 months, which I can't use. Their box is defective, and this is the 2nd box I've had installed with the same problem. I finally told them to take their stinking box back and just switch me to regular cable service, not digital. Their customer service is finally starting to get a little better - for a long time, if you called, you got a call center in India, where they followed a script on how to solve your problems, but couldn't really do much. If you got outside their script, they were unable to help. The local cable office doesn't list their number in the phone book, either - just the 800 number, which gets you to the foreign country call center.
I guess cable is the lesser of two evils right now. At least I have a constant signal from that, no interruptions due to weather.

I had Direct before, and there could be a storm three counties away and it would effect my reception, it was forever going out. So, far, knock on wood, this hasn't happened with Dish and we have had a few bad storms believe it or not.

I don't understand what he is saying and what does this have to do with the board in itself.
I think that he has a cable complaint that should be reserved for his cable company. Not for the debt consolidation board.

Maybe he is explaining why he isn't going to pay the bill.

Oh, I can understand that part. Sometimes crappy service makes you not want to pay a bill.

Only the very first year I had a problem with reception with Directv. My husband went up and sprayed the dish with PAM, and we never had any major problems after that..Just this last big snowstorm.
