This past week, I let go of my trainer and the gym. I find that I will save almost three hundred dollars a month by getting rid of the "weight".
What have you given up to be debt free?

If I tell you that you have given up the right thing because it is saving your life (Wendy's that is). Cable is becoming more of a necessity than a luxury. I had to go without cable once because I couldn't afford to pay the bill. I liked to have cried. It was very depressing. But once I got it back, I vowed never to let it go again!!!
Wendy's use to be so good but after a long time without it, you lose interest in it. Fast food that is.

I have been reading a lot and I figure once the baby gets here I wont have much time to spend in front of the TV anyway..Besides I still have my PS2 and I can buy one game a month at Game stop for 10-20 bucks-way cheaper than my 200/mo cable bill..As for wendy's-never even liked it til i got pregnant so I figure I can do without it...

I had to give up smoking and drinking pepsi to pay for some vet bills. That may not seem like much, but I drink a lot of pepsi. Between the two I saved about $150 a month.
Once the vet bills were paid I went back to the pepsi, but not the smokes . . . .

When you stop drinking sodas, you can also lose weight. For men anyway.

LOL I hear ya Gougah..I have a vet bill now for about 200 bucks but my vet lets me make payment arrangements because I have been a client for years and have always paid my bills (see I am responsible)
Ah cigarettes...a vice I had to give up on October 23rd when I found out I was pregnant...

I didn't lose any weight from not drinking pop, but I'm on the thin side already. Also, since it coincided with quitting smoking the two probably cancelled each other out.
Leah - Yeah, vets are soooo expensive. I ended up having to switch vets. I'd been taking my dog to the same vet my family had gone to for years, and they diagnosed my pug with a hepatic insufficiancy. Since I love my dog and would do anything to help him, I kept taking him in to try this or that. Finally, they gave him some regular antibiotics. Turns out he didn't have liver problems, just a bad infection. Whole thing costed me $800 when it could've only been $60.
Congrats on the pregnency!!!

Thanks Goudah! Do you have a german shepherd? Cuz hepatic insufficiancy is generally a disease only found in GSH-I spent over 5 grand one summer on my dog trying to find out if he had that problem cuz he was a 65lbd GSH(come to find out the only think the little butthead will eat are little ceasers and I have to feed him like 14 a day because of his size) He now weighs 85lbs. Sure wish I would have found that out before I had all the tests run and then taken him to the internist but he is my baby so of couse I had to do it...I am the same way with my kitties
All vets are expensive but I am so picky about who treats my pets that I could nevef switch..My vet is super good to me..If I have an emergency he gets me right in

I have a pug . . . . Yeah, the whole diagnosis made no sense. I ended up switching vets over that, the vet my family had gone to for 20+ years. But he was getting old and about to retire, and I ended up finding a great vet. I actually interviewed a few in my area. The vets probably thought I was insane.
And my pug has so many food allergies that I have to cook him meals. He's gotten so spoiled that he has actually uped his nose to a steak and carrots with rice!!! He prefers chicken . . . . And he eats about a 1lb a day. My 20 lb dog eats about twice as much in a day as I do!

Wow that is a wierd dx for a pug...but the food allergies are not that uncommon for pugs
Trust me, my vet probably thinks I am crazy..I did come visit my kitty while she was in the hospital everyday...Who do you know that would do that?

I would . . . . Luckily my guy has never had to stay in a hospital . . . But he's my baby. That's him in my pic. But no, I do not dress him up. That was a one time thing for halloween, and i took it off him right after I snapped the pic because he didn't like wearing it. I'm not the type to try to dress up animals.
And the new vet I took him to agreed that it would've been strage for him to have a hepatic insufficiancy. She said that would've been her last quess . . . .

When I used to smoke (20+ years ago), I gave up name brand for store brand cigarettes, but that wasn't to pay a debt though, it was just to save money. Many times I have given up things I need in order to buy things my daughter needed (what mom hasn't done THAT).
Leah---don't deny your cravings for Wendy's (save it for a treat)
