Sub: cash tranfser center/northway debit

Thanks to everyone for the posts about cash transfer center. They hit my bank twice in the same day, only as northway debit. I did not know who that was so I filed an unauthorized transaction with the bank and FTC. My money was returned by the bank, but I still incurred service fees........Their transactions caused me to go WAY!!!!! into the Insufficient Funds drowning pool.. I will stay tuned for more information.....

David Welcome to the forums. Please register and join us here. Also go to www.paydayloaninfo.org and see state laws on payday lending. Most important file a complaint with the Attorney General in your state. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

Cash Transfer Center is not lic in the US so as a business they can not take on any legal action if you don't pay the loan back. Here in California there are strick laws regulating Payday Loan businesses. The law in california says they can not give a consumer a loan no more than $300. "Well Cash Transfer Center Gave me a loan for $900". One law broken there. They also have to be lic. and payday lenders in California are prohibited in filing a law suit. I just want to say get a payday loan, change your bank account number and screwq them, then get your self caught up on your bills with the funds you just took.

I have been receiving threatening calls from these peopl as well. They have sent e-mail letters to several of my work colleagues and they have been calling family members with the same last name as me.
They have yet to show me what I have contracted with them. They are a scam. They try and wear you down so you will pay. DO NOT PAY THEM. If they were legit, they would go the route of any law abiding collection agency. My calls are coming from someone calling themselves Nanzaz Smith. Like thats a real name.

I adivse anyione dealing with them to file a complaint with the better business bureu under northway financial corp. andf also contact the federal trade comission. They seem to be commiting fraud and harrassment on a variety of levels. I will be contacting my lawyer.

Sub: Cash Transfer Centers not legal in US?

So Cash Transfer Centers is not licensed in the US at all? I see someone mentioned they are not licensed in the US. I know the lady was telling me they were located in Canada and they only deal with the US. I shouldn't have taken the loan, it seemed questionable from the beginning. On the day they were to take the money out of my account they didn't. They waited for 4 days and then tried; my account is shared and the full amount was not there as the other individual had taken money out. When I contacted them and informed them that I could make payments, they told me no and that they needed the full amount. Does anyone know if they will accept the payments? I was given a Money Gram code to send.

First, I would revoke your voluntary wage assignment which is in their contract and you need to give your employer (payroll) a copy of this. If I were you, send them what you can afford. Don't let them threaten you, just send what you can afford. They are real asses.

These guys are the ultimate bottom feeders. But if you hold out long enough they'll offer you a serious compromise to get the debt off their desks. Just be strong.

I have had the same experiences with them. I have an address they gave me from Italy. They have threatened to garnish my wages and contact my payroll department. What can I do?

penny, they are not in Italy. They are illegal, however. You need to send them a letter via email/fax/USPS stating that you revoke their debit authorization of your bank account, you revoke any wage assignment that you may have signed (very important you do this) and to contact you only via email or USPS - no telephone calls. A "wage assignment" is totally voluntary. Your employer does not have to honor it. It's totally different than a "wage garnishment", which they would have to get a court order to do. You need to send them the letter ASAP. Also, have you done anything with your bank account so that they can not get any more debits from you?
