How do I get started settling debts on my credit report what is the statute of limitations?

Well first---do you have addresses and names for all of the debts you owe? That would be a good start. As for the SOL, I am not sure. However, I know that someone on here WILL and no doubt post shortly.

SOL is different in every state. Mention the name of the state where the account was originally opened? From the last payment date, it will be figured out whether the company can sue you in the court. In case they decide to take you to the court, the judge will dismiss the case if the debt has already gone out of the SOL.
