Check N Go

Okay, so I had a $500 PDL with CheckNGo...On Feb 15th they took $100 from my bank account. That is the last payment and only payment on the loan that they got. They didn't debit from my account again since then, and I closed my account they have on file a week ago. I log into their website and it says my account is in good standing with them and says I can apply for another loan. Hahahaha! Twisted Evil

Has anyone had a PDL just disappear like that???

I haven't heard one word from them...no letters...no emails...nothing!

Be careful, Bob! They may have sent it to a collection company and that CA hasn't gotten around to calling you yet.

You may have gotten lucky, but don't get your hopes up.

I have one out with them -- they are a storefront here in Michigan and they are really good to work with. I plan on letting the payment come back -- they will only charge me a $25 NSF and let me break it up into managable payments. So, I am not going to fight them -- they follow Michigan law to the letter here. Smile

I am dealing with them on an online loan, they want it paid by the due date. I am behind 4 payments, plan on making two of them this friday. Hopefully can have it paid off by 3/4, original date. They have been cooperative so far with me. Hope they stay that way.

They want payment in full now, but they are willing to work with me without taking on fees. I told them that I can make a payment on the 20th -- the woman said OK. I think they know that they can't really do anything against me since I sent a promisorry note outlining the payments I plan on making them.

Store Fronts are way easier to work with at times that the online places.

Mine is online, I will be so happy to have it gone and out of the way. I have come so far, had ten loans, down to 2, seems like they are taking forever, just can't get ahead enough to get rid of them. Hopefully by middle of may I will be rid of checkngo. Did you go past your final payment due date Sarah?

I am in Michigan, so since I couldn't pay the loan in full on my first due date, I defaulted. In Michigan, there are no roll-overs allowed, so when a loan comes due, you have to pay in full.

I am in pa, got an online loan, I guess I will just deal with the crap as it comes, they will get their money it will just take me a few more weeks than planned. I am sure they will be okay with it, either way, I can only give them what I have right and it isn't that much past the original date, 2 weeks.

PostPosted: Wed Apr 18, 2007 8:42 pm Subject: Senior Citizens

I would like to know the age demographics of borrowers to Checkngo as well as the defaulting by age? Are Senior Citizens a larger percentage of borrowers to Checkngo - as it is easier to borrow from Checkngo than a bank when they have no collateral? Do they then tend to default due to fix income?

If you are unable to respond with this specific information can you advise me where I may gather this demographic information.

Appreciate you assistance with this request. I think it would be greatly informative to Seniors.

Helen,
The company itself may be able to provide that information, they may want to know why you want it and be reluctant to give it up. Call your local checkngo and ask for the corporate number.

Instead of getting the demographics from just one company, it would be interesting to find out the demographics of PDL borrowers as a whole. Are they older, younger? Would be fascinating...
