500 Fast Cash not responding to AG

I just spoke with the person handling my complaint against this company and she said that they have not responded. She said that if the company doesn't respond there is nothing more that the AG's office can do. ARGH!!!! That means I would be stuck with them!!!!!!

Stuck howso? I had a loan w/ them last year...I closed the account, they sent me 2 letters, and thats it...i've never heard from them again...

(keeping my fingers crossed that theydont)

You've paid more than the legal amount right?

No, actually I have paid them $180 on a $200 loan but they want like $350 more from me!!!!!

Well they aren't answering the AG because they know they are wrong...Send them what you legally owe and then tell them that as far as you and the State of OH are concerned this matter is PIF and demand a letter stating such. Eventually, they will give up on you. GFSIL still has not responded to my compaints either...Because they know they do not have a legal leg to stand on

Try to talk with another person in the AG's office. I hope that you get someone more helpful there. Yes, you need to pay the outstanding balance as per your state laws. Once, you have paid, 500 fast cash cannot push you to pay more.

Have you spoken to anyone at your state banking department (or whomever regulates banks, etc)?

IF the AG won't do anything, than this department should

I received a voice message yesterday from 500 Fastcash and the rep stated that if I didn't respond in 24 hours he was going to act on behalf. Now, I don't know what he is going to do on my behalf, but whatever. They also sent me an email today. So I replied telling them I was not paying anymore on my loan and that they owed me a refund. Maybe he can send me my refund, since he is acting on my behalf.

Both UCL and ONeclickcash left me the same voicemail...still waiting to see what on my behalf meant

Yep, I got the same voice mail saying that if I didn't call them, they would make a decision on my behalf. Whatever, let them. I am over these people today. I hope that I can get someone in the AG's office to help or the dept of banking. I don't want this hanging over my head the rest of my life.

Hey...I say if they want to work on my behalf...go for it. They don't realize what a stupid line that is and that it makes absolutely no sense...like most of what they do.

Usually if they do not respond, you may or may not get another call or correspondence from them. It means they are going to leave you alone because you filed a complaint with the AG. Just talking from personal experience these companies do not want to be on any government agencies radar, and figure if they don't respond it will go away.

I hope you are right Steelers! Maybe them not responding to the AG and not calling me is their way of saying they are done with me. I will be fine with that!!! Thanks to you and everyone for answering my questions!! I don't know what I would do without all of you. There is no way I would have been able to get out of this mess on my own, nor would I have known that I had any rights at all.

True dat cuz lets face it...once thee government starts lookin at these companies, aint no way they can keeps on scamming peeps! SO they are probably just lying low for now...GFSIL never responded to my complaint either but they have left me alone...which works for me!
