I'm assuming that since this former exec is sharing information to you, that it's public record, and you wouldn't mind sharing their name.

Only reason I inquired to more information, is because the forums have had trouble in the past where a member would say one thing, and it totally not be valid. When a company sees this, they can accuse the member of slander.

If they are under investigation, great. The more companies that violate the law, the more we need the consumers to be aware. If you have information, please provide it.

What is the former Bass Executives name? If you're friends with this person perhaps they could share more information since it's obviously not confidential (seeing how he already told you about the contracts).

Regards
Mike

Re: the linked post.

That's not me. Probably all the proof you need is that I haven't even been using a proxy server recently because I'm no longer involved in criminal activity. Yet, I have been able to use this site without incident for a while now. If my IP were banned as stated in the thread, I wouldn't be able to post this.

More importantly, why was removed deleted? removed is derogatory if used against blacks. If you yelled at someone from La. and called them a removed, I suppose that is derogatory as well. But just calling someone a removed. Jesus God Almighty -- it's not a slur.

All i can say is ??!?!?!

That term that you speak of, is something that some cajun people refer to themselves as and are proud of it, as baffling as it is....

So should it not be deleted? I was under the impression that it was a derogatory word. If I'm wrong, please tell me and I will re input it into the posts.

For slander purposes, the best thing would be if I couched everything as "allegedly." In other words, if I went and re-wrote that post and said Bass allegedly this, David Jacobs allegedly that, it is not actionable as slander. Furthermore, even if you don't say "allegedly" truth is a defense to slander charges. I think your point, which is valid though, is how do we know it's true.

If it makes you feel better, the person I am talking about is Aaron Lansing. I don't really know how that would help this site on slander charges, but whatever. If David Jacobs were to come on here, he'd be able to identify that info I posted as coming from Aaron even without his name.

I would say that it deleting it is best. Its not politically correct. It will most likely offend people who aren't familiar with the culture of deep southern Louisianians. Like I said, I lived there for ten years and am familiar with that culture.

I supposed you'd have to get a clarification from a cajun person. But, my friends from South La. call each other that word and seem to even take pride in it.

Re: criminal activity.

i quit my job working for the bookmaking syndicate because there was an incident that happened that scared the ever-loving crap out of me. i guess i'm not really that tough after all.

so, i'm looking for work in chicago and seattle and hoping to either find a good job here or find any job in seattle and move back in with my wife and kids.

I don't think anyone here believes him in the first place . . . . He's not taking anyone for a ride because he's been banned so many times that I don't think anyone would take his advice . . . .
