MTE Financial Settlement

Message Author
PostPosted: Thu Apr 26, 2007 2:56 pm Subject: MTE Financial Settlement

I joined this forum a little over a month ago and received so much helpful information. I had nine internet pdls that I had paid over the principle on (except for one). I filed complaints with the Attorney General's office and the BBB. I just received a letter from the BBB. In MTE's response they stated "we believe it to be in the best interest of this customer to write off the balance of this account and close the account. We will consider the matter closed." That makes two....only seven more to go Smile

Congratulations! That is the exact same thing they said after my friend complained to the attorney general, too!! I think maybe they are getting the hint that we consumers have had enough!!

I am just so thankful for all the help and encouragement I received at this website. Without it I don't know what I would have done.

Congrats! MTE is one of the toughest! They usually threaten people - maybe the tide is turning.

They were nasty in their emails, and they did try to get another $300 in their original email regarding the BBB complaint. So, they probably haven't given up completely.

Yes, MTE is one of the hardest to deal with. I am still fighting with two of their affiliates after a year and a half. I'm not going to give up though. Congrats on two being marked PIF! Smile
