I have 5 outstanding internet payday loans from (Sonic, Access Processing, AIP, Total Lending and USA Payday) that are all in default.
Now I know the state of NC prohibits payday lending.
What is the rule of thumb in conjuction with the laws of NC for them getting their money back with scare tactics?

Just pay the principal amount since you took out a loan from them. You don't need to pay anything on interests and fees since NC prohibits pdls.

Pull your bank statement and calculate the total payments done to each lender. You will know if you have any outstanding balance.
