Look if you are willing to pay using a debt consolidation and the credit cards co dont want to accept them who cares if they sue you . If you are at the point in you life and money is what it is and you bill are what they are you must have been in some bad shap. But you are willing to pay them somthing so if they sue you and you dont own anything i mean nothing so what could they take. You are willing to pay its not like you are saying you dont want to pay. So all you out there that are so worried about being sued and judgements if you have nothing 10 or 20 pecent of nothing is still nothing. Think about it you go to court and you get a judgement of 20 of you salery so you are stilling paying see so why worry. Any of you so called learned people please enlighten me on how they can sue you if you dont have anything to begine with. Go ahead enlighten us

That is SOO true! In the past, I've tried to work things out, with CA's. I let them know what I can afford, each month, etc. THEY tell me what they will "accept" each month...most of the time, MY amount will be much lower. The CA tells me, " they will not accept anything lower than they 'highly suggest.' What do you do, in an situation like that? Sometimes, it's frustrating.

Honestly... why do you care? What type of response do you expect to receive? I don't think there are many people out here that are out to not pay what they owe. The support here is to help people get out of debt and realize their rights. There really is no debate as far as I can see.

Sorry Paul... I couldn't help it!

to to let the credit card co and collection agency know if they are reading the info on this site. that a individual who is in a debt settlement program of any knind already has his back against the wall and just a little more pushing could result in fileing bankrupcy so you get nothing. all you collection agency out there keep pushing and you will wind up with less the what the individual wanted to pay. im not here to help a individual im here to tell these so called collection co that when people are pushed to fare the further you push the less you get that all

And we all seem to see your viewpoint.. the problem is that the people you are addressing on this thread are memners of the forum and not collectors. I think that is why you aren't getting the response from people you are looking for. Some collectors do "stalk" the sight and post their "not worth" two cents. But the ones showing the emotion icons aren't the collectors they're here to help people.

don't worry angel, listen guest you are certainly entitled to your opinion.that is just that an opinion, some have succesfully completed debt management, consolidation,or settlement.others have had bad experiences.i take issue with the fact tht you are talking like your opinion is gospel truth.sorry but you're wrong.people should decide for themselves, that is my opinion.your last post revealed all.

I agree with you 100% Paul. Guest I do not remember anybody posting that they lost things they bought with their credit cards when they went through a BK. And to me what you are trying to tell people is that in order to see the light that they should file for chapter 7 bk. Well that may have worked for you but some others don't want to go that route. Plus since 89 the bk laws have changed making it harder for you to file. We are here to help others in their situation by informing them of their legal rights when dealing with the CA's. And to let them know that there is another way to see the "light" without having to file for bk. For some it cannot be avoided, but for others it can. It all depends on your situation. But you were right on one point, you do not lose everything when you file, but for some they may end up losing something, it all depends on how much assets you have. And it looks like you did not have many assets and thats why you didn't lose anything. But I suggest that people check out every avenue that they can before they decide what they should do.
