You said you have loans you want to pay off...is there any other debt-like credit cards or pay-day loans?
What state are you in?
I wouldn't suggest getting a loan to pay off debt...what you are doing then is exchanging one debt for another-you'll still be in debt.
Give counselors here a call- 800-601-1579. Perhaps they can help you find a debt consolidation program or an alternative way to pay the loans off.
Have you talked to whoever the loans are with to see if you can renegotiate?

i agree with lawn on this advice too. You should not get a loan out to pay back loans. It will just become a cycle that you will get yourself into. Especially never take out a secure loan to cover an unsecured loan. You are putting your house in jeopardy doing that.
As far as paying your loans, if you could give us more info on what type of debt you have it may help to help you determine your next step.
