I was working with someone (Sifxpert) who was supposed to settle my accounts for me, but he just ended taking my money.

I am going to try to settle my accounts on my own, but I am wondering if I should try to settle with the collection companies, or the original creditor?

Depending on the State you live in it may very easy for you to push the issue and get a refund for the settlement company also.

I decided to do my debt settlement on my own after signing up with a debt settlement company. I terminated my contract with them and asked for my money back. They said no, so I filed a complaint with the BBB. The company sent my money back within a month and a half. It is worth a try, I got all my money back!!

Problem is, my settlement guy James Lombardo is nowhere to be found.

Others are trying to go after him as well

I only know a couple of the collection companies that have my accounts.

He left me in the dark on the others (and also took $3400 from me)
