BLOCKING CALLS FROM COLLECTION AGENCIES

My home phone service offers a 'call blocking" feature, which allows me to reject specific phone numbers. Yesterday, I started getting calls from ER Solutions, which I blocked. in reading about how nasty they are, I am wondering if anyone has any experience on how they will retaliate to me blocking their calls. I know I have the right not to take their calls, but I am rather worried. Any help would be appreciated.

Ultimately they might eventually sue. Personally I don't take any collector calls. I know what debt is in my name and I certainly do not need any reminders especially not multiple daily reminders.

I would at least answer the phone once. Verify that you are indeed the consumer they are looking for, verify your mailing address and tell them you expect something in writing w/in 5 days. Then end the call.

I am not even sure what bill they are trying to collect for, as I have not spoken to them yet...I guess I will need to wait for something in writing before I send them the cease and desist.

Thanks for the advice and help. After reading how nasty these people can be, I am a little worried about talking to them. I know that legally, they have to abide by the collection laws, but it seems from what I am reading, they don't. Any suggestions with how to deal with that?

just as nascar suggested, talk to them.verify yourself, then request they send something in writing.then when they ignore your request.block the number, send the letters.chances are if you send DV and C&D letters after the first contact.they will send it off to another CA.just talk at least once to any CA.
