I am a consumer who was up to my ears in debt. I contacted several different debt management agencies to see what I might be able to do to get out of my situation. During my search, I came across Credit Solutions. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with one of their debt consultants to find out the real skinny on what they do because I'm extremely wary of service providers, regardless of the industry. Luckily, I spoke with someone who was very forthcoming. Credit Solutions is able to do one thing for you. They can settle your debt. If you can't save up with the funds to settle or don't have the funds available, then this is not the company for you. In my research, I found that they have established relationships with some major institutions such as Chase, Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual, and HSBC. I actually contacted these bank's collections departments to find out, because again, I'm extremely skeptical by nature. Because the majority of my accounts were through Chase bank, I enrolled. With my tax return that I received this year, I have already settled 4 of my 5 accounts that I originally enrolled with, and I have an offer available on my final account, which is through Bank of America, at less than 25% of my original amount. My balance on that account is $7100, and I have an offer available right now for $1700. I couldn't believe that my settlement rep was able to negotiate it down that low. I have until the end of February to come up with that amount so I'm frantically contacting family members and friends to get a small loan. In my experience, Credit Solutions has been the answer to my prayers and I can't believe how extremely lucky I am to have connected with such an honest debt consultant, and then a cut throat settlement rep who got the job done for me. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company, and I've already referred my fiancee as well.

People should do their homework before joining this lawsuit. The lawyer's daughter was in an agreement with the credit card company before she joined Credit Solutions. She STOPPED paying and thought that she could save more money on the agreement and not have to pay the full balance back if she joined Credit Solutions. SHE NEVER TOLD THEM THAT SHE WAS ALREADY IN AN AGREEMENT. She became pissed off because she, a lawyer herself, got in trouble for breaking an agreement she entered into BEFORE joining Credit Solutions.
The moral of all of this is you have a money hungry lawyer who got herself into debt, and now wants Daddy to help her get out of it. She does not want to take responsibility for her irresponsible use of credit and would much rather blame someone else than learn how to manage her money.

My name is Erin Taylor and a while back I had posted regarding my potentially disaterous experience with credit solutions. Without fail I managed to find Everest Debt Solutions with offices on both the east and west coast. They just settled my last accoun on 2/5/2009 and I am truly grateful for their hard work. I reffered a co-worker to them after her ordeal with Credit Solutions and she is still in the program but has no complaints to date. I think that anyone that is looking for debt settlement programs should talk to Everest first before some of the other big companies.

How appropriate...a no named person telling mobile0311 to kiss her ass. Sounds just like the only way the management knows how to speak. I can speak from personal experience. The talk up all the employees on doing the right thing...Maybe they should listen to their own words. Not only are they incapable of compassion...they are greedy and willing to back-stab anyone and everyone to achieve "success". Those who rise quickly often fall the quickest and hardest...

I am a former employee of CSA and I can attest that this perpetual freud in continuing. It is a culture within the company of greed. They spend millions on marketing and PR but every now and then the truth about CSA comes up in these lawsuits. The latest was filed by the Texas Attorney General. As someone who knows I would not recommend CSa to my forst enemy. On average clients debts increase due to penalties and interest by about 40%. Among those about 25% are sued by their creditors and have to pay legal fees. People with good credit scores going into the program loose about 200 points on average from their credit score. Anyone who has been taken advantage of I recommend that you file a complaint with your local attorney generals office. The BBB is nice but they have no teeth.

Sophico - You will not get a refund if you just talk with credit solutions. You need to file a complaint with the BBB and then they will gladly give you what you ask for.

When I contacted Credit Solutions and told them that I wanted a refund because they failed to settle a couple of accounts (this is right in your contract by the way - a refund will be granted if we fail to settle any account.) They tried to tell me that I had to still pay becuase the refund would not be 100% of my fees that I paid for that account but a percentage. WTF. I don't think so. So I filed a complaint and within a week I got every penny back that I thought I was owed.

This company is nothing but a scam and if you are thinking of going with them, please don't. They do nothing for you and do not stop the calls.

Hope this helps.

they lied to us over and over again about the program, I asked them a jillion questions before enrolling, and the sales man (OOOOH what A salesman "Jason Byrum".. maybe alias name?) was so reassuring in every way, I wonder what commission he got for lying, of course "he was no longer with the company" when i asked to speak with him later. Long story short, they ruined are great credit, gave us terrible counsel and advice regarding our debt, and signing on with them has been the worst mistake of our lives. Two years later and we are worse off now. I don't know how anyone with a conscience could work for that evil company!

Do Not go with Debt solutions, I cancelled after 2 payments because my gut told me something was not right. I have called twice and they say they are sending me by email the refund letter to sign and fax back. That was 2 days ago and when I just called they were like hmm, we sent it to you at 4:06 pm on the 9th. Maybe you have a problem with spam they say. Well is that funny since I had no problem getting there welcome letters. Anyway I will keep trying but I am happy I went with my gut because they have turned out to be what I feared. I lost $600.00 but could have lost more.

I just received a call regarding a potential law suit from a creditor that was "included" in my debts with Credit Solutions. I have since signed on for the law suit, sent a letter (via fax, email and USPS) to Credit Solutions cancelling my account and demanding refund within 20 days or I will file complaints with the Attorney General, FTC and the TASC.
I'll keep you posted as to the outcome. I have paid about $800 to them so I'm not as far in as some, but still ticked that they can't deliver what they promise.

What kind of refund does Credit Solutions give? What have you gotten? I've paid of 7500 in "service fees" and only have a few payments left and I got servered the other day and CS did nothing yet! Please help I need a refund so I can settle this judgement!

I would have been better off to file for bankruptcy than to hire credit solutions!! They take so much money every month of the money I have saved, when in the long run I could have just been paying my debtors that money and avoided being served a summons on my lunch break. It seems that they in no way intend on getting me a deal to "only pay a percentage" of what I owe. All this is doing is ruining my credit and draining my bank account. Wish I would have done more initial research on them. It's a shame.

i saw on MSNBC a report on a person who was in debt and then went to a company...Credit Solutions. They spoke highly about it. So, I thought it would be good to check them out. I was sold a service that has proven not to be working...they keep swearing they work with Advanta bank all the time. Advanta says they dont' work with Credit Solutions. Who do I believe? CSA or the collection agency? Now...I am screwed. How do I get a refund? If I do cancel, then what? My debt to the CCs is higher now because of fees, interest...etc. My credit rating is shot. really freaked out about this. would love advice on how to get out of this.
