Which company is more reputable? RAM Financial Services or Oak View Law? I need to choose one by the end of the week?

I've read things about them both online, 70% negative 30% positive (of that 30%, 20% from employees/owners of the companies)

Please help.

I've looked into Oak View before and was turned off by their fees completely! Just saw RAM online and seems like a good program. How are their fees?

Not sure if my last post went through. What I had said was I did not like Oak View Law's fees at all. I looked into them not too long ago and just seemed confusing and too much to get started for me.

I hate to tell you this but Oak View Law's fees are typically cheaper than most debt settlement companies or law firms.

Why do you need to chose one by the end of the week, JAMIE? Are you being pressured into doing that? With ANY debt settlement company, you should do ALOT research before you make a decision. However....it sounds like you've already done that with those specific companies. Good for you.

I'm sure both companies are good at what they do, just figure out based on your conversations with them which one sounds like it would benefit you more and acheive the goals you want. I agree with sdchargers, kudos on doing your research!

I thought some more about it last night and I am leaning towards trying to do it myself. I worked out a budget plan assuming I would be able to get 50% settlements on average and it would only take me about a year. And no fees Do you think I should try it on my own first? If so how do I do it? What's my first step? All my accounts have been charged off and in collections since 2006.

Thanks for all your help and support. And thanks for the up and up too.

I tried settling with one of my accounts and was spoken to like I was an idiot, hung up on and told that they weren't sending me anything in writing until I sent in payment. I told him that wsan't right but he laughed at me. That was the jerk at Riddle and Assoc handling my Limited (wfnnb) account.

Well at least I tried, I guess I will just enroll with one of those programs.

I think RAM sounds the most legit although I am concerned that they are owned by the same two owners of Freedom debt relief...and I've read what happened to them.

Does anyone know anything about them?

Sorry that happened to you. Creditors and collection companies are not the most pleasant people to deal with - they're literally a different breed. I know Freedom Debt fairly well through postings throughout the years - two separate companies.

notice the emphasis placed on Excellent English Skills, would you trust foreigners with your SSN, Credit card account numbers, and more?

RAM's not owned by the owners of Freedom though they are located in Phoenix. Good company, not the largest around which I like because of the personal service and settlements are real - I asked them to produce it and they did produce recent ones; accreditations seemed inline, good rating with the BBB. I'm thinking about signing up w/ them soom.
