Pam V,
Send it to the original creditor and to the company that is trying to collect. As far as the Account number you can put the CC number on that if you want. You can change up the DV letter to fit what you want to put. You can also google dv letter samples. I used one off google because it stated alot more and fitted my situation better.

Allegro Law part of Hess/Kennedy??
Does any one know if Allegro law is tied up somehow in all this Hess/Kennedy receivership stuff?
I received an undated letter from Daniel J Stermer Esq stating that says he is the court appointed receiver for Hess Kennedy, and that 1 of 3 Capital One accounts I placed with Allegro Law was forgiven, but gives a 15 digit account # for the account (missing final digit, but matches the 1st 15 digits of one of my accounts) I never worked with Hess/Kennedy before, so I am little confused how this involves me, and if it is legitimate, what impact there was on my other capital one, HSBC, and WAMU accounts I had placed with Allegro. I hear from Capital one on 1 account, and HSBC has referred me to Mann Bracken LLP. I have only been with Allegro about 7 months, but have already paid in over $2.1k, trying to keep other payments up. Thanks,

On a call the other night with capital re: 1 of our other accounts with Allegro, they did confirm with me that this particular acount I received the letter on was forgiven due to the Hess/Kennedy suit and subsequent receivership. Daniel Stermer has yet to answer my calls or emails either one. I am glad to have 1 forgiven, but confused on how it happened, or if it may have impacted any of my other accounts, which were all being handled in the same manner. Will have to speak to Allegro Monday and ask some direct and pointed questions!

From what I can tell, Allegro Law is not affiliated with Hess Kennedy in any way. it sounds like Capital one forgave about 20,000 accounts, and 1 of them just happened to be mine, so 1 less to worry about for me! So far Allegro Law has been ok to work with, they are responsive once you get someone on the line, and seem to keep a record of all doc's I fax in, conversations, etc.

What email address have you been emailing? I have been in contact with his office a couple of times. They have responded to all my emails and a repersenative named Kim has called me twice. I have missed both calls but she has left me a message both times and I did call her back.

Hi dfawaz,The email address was HessReceiver@lbfmiami.com and was given on the letter they sent me. The phone # I have been using is 954-510-7840, which was also in the letter.
I will say I have gotten enough information and confirmation from other sources now where I know a lot more about what's going on, and I'm sure this particular account was actually forgiven. Unfortunately, Cap One is being extremely aggressive & pushy on the smallest of my 2 remaining accounts, and insisting they have not received the required info from Allegro law, even though they have on my other remaining account. They are threatening a charge off and subsequent lawsuit if I don't make some sort of payment very soon. I contacted Allegro again yesterday, and they are sending all documentation again, but Capital One says that will take too long, and I'll probably be sued before it happens. I am making my payments to Allegro, and hope this process works. If not, I'll take the BK route, but I've been trying to avoid it. Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

I received a letter from Capital One when my debt was forgiven because of Hess Kennedy, and expect to get one from HSBC as well..according to Lewis B. Freeman web site, letter was supposed to come in a week or 2 after posting.

Hess Kennedy
I too have received a letter from Daniel J. Stermer with a 5 digit claim number which states that my proof of claim has been timely received, what happens next, and who to contact if i am moving. However the website they gave me does not seem to work and I can't find the site where i may be able to type my claim number in and find out a status.
