Anybody else going through this? I was screwed by these A-Holes and was wondering if any others are on here. I sent in my claim form a week or so ago. Has anybody else sent it in or received any info from the receivership?

I sent them an email and they stated they had not logged my into the system yet. They had only logged in mail received as of 11/6/08.

I received paperwork two weeks ago, and have since mailed it back. I have been out of the program about a year, but managed to let them put me 6000.00 further into debt with all the interest piling up on the cards they did nothing with! I hope to get my 2000.00 back that I paid the A-holes. I also had my CapitalOne debt dismissed, as they sued Hess Kenendy and won for 18,000 of their customers! Let's go, credit card companies! Pay attention and do the same for everyone!

I sent my info. I just keep reading on the receivership website. Although I'll admit have the stuff they post I have no idea what they are talking about.

Hess Kennedy has about $1000 of mine. How do I put a claim in? I didn't save any of the paperwork. I figured I would never get anything back so i THREW IT OUT.

I have looked over the website today and I don't really understand all that is going on? Can someone kind of explain it to me.

I'm happy for all the HSBC Customers and Capital one customers!! At least they settled and you don't get screwed.

I feel your pain. I have a WaMu card that was in the program also, and they are pains in the ****. I hope you and I both get satisfaction from that one, but I have my doubts.

My husband signed up with them about two years ago, and we paid them approximately $2500. Now we are receiving threatening calls from creditors and I just lost my job last month. I really want to pay off these debts, but we don't have the means right now. I want to go to another debt consolidation/settlement company, but I'm a little leery after this experience. ::sigh::

Laurie,

Same to you. This a pain.

Stephanie, Do some research. I went through Preferred Financial services with another card. They got my debt done in no time. I got 17300 card down to 9k. Which was nice.

I just read yesterday that HSBC is getting on bard as well. I have a Direct Merchants Bank card from HSBC that was also in the settlement program..I sent them a copy of the article today and stated I was no longer paying, as Capital One forgave my debt,(even though I'm trying to get my last 2 payments back from Capital One, as my file was closed before I mailed the payments!) and they are doing the same. Again, let's go, WaMu! One word of advice, make lots of phone calls, cuz noone is going to notify you to stop paying unless you are persistent!

Laurie. Have you gone to the lbfmiami website? They have all the info going on with the case. You can read about the HSBC and Capital one settling. I have read alot of the stuff that is going on. I don't understand some of it, but it would be nice if WAMU jumped on board.

dfawaz,
I went on that website yesterday, and it is very helpful..thanks.
I agree with you on the WaMu card. Those people are very nasty and persistent, even when you are paying what you are supposed to each month. I have my doubts they will jump on board. They are even greedier than the rest.

LaurieP,

I hear ya. They are nasty. I heard that Chase is going to get rid of 5200 of wamu workers. Not that this matters but chase since it owns wamu should jump on board and help out. In this economy everybody should be helping everybody.
