I have decided I need to file chapter 7. I don't use my credit cards that much as they are all at or about at the limits anyway. The highest limit is $750. the others are about 300 and one for 500. I recently took out a cash advance of $60 on one of them and another for $60 on another one. Is this going to cause a problem when i go to file my bankruptcy? I havent even given my lawyer any money yet and dont plan on filing until the 20th of Dec. I got the advances out about a week ago or so. Thanks for any help.

What is your total debt? Your HIGHEST credit card is 750? Have you looked into consolidation first, or credit counseling? Bankruptcy sounds like such a severe answer. I know that sometimes 10 dollars may as well be a million, but people with tens of thousands of dollars of debt and more, are working their way out of it without filing bankruptcy. Have you looked at your other options?

I owe a total of about $13000. I don't make that much money and my credit sucks. It is all in my name and not in my wifes at all. She has pretty good credit. There is no hope for mine. I have been battling for awhile now but I just got more chargeoffs on there recently. I am taking this bankruptcy but was just curious as to if the advances I took out a week or so ago will affect this. I wouldnt think it would since my cards are so small and the advances were only $60 and $60. What do you think?
