Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 134,000 members

Has anyone dealt with Washington Mutual or AIG Bank to work out a debt payment plan? I tried calling WAMU and ended up speaking to someone who barely spoke English and couldn't make a decision so I sat on hold for the supervisor only to be hung up after 10 minutes on hold.

I think you should give a call once again. Unless you speak to the supervisor, you won't know anything about the status of your payment plan. I suggest you to draft a payment plan along with a check as the first payment to their mailing address. Keep a follow up on the phone. If they cash your check, it will be obvious that they are willing to work on your terms.
