Arbitration question

Does anyone know if there is a time limit on how long a company can let something lay in the court house once you have answered a summons. I got notice of arbitration months ago, it was supposed to be back in february, it has not happened yet.

The original summons was filed back in december 2006, the arbitration was filed in december 2007, how long can they leave this loom over my head.

A person has 20 days to answer a summons, a company should have to act in a certain amount of time too. Does anyone know Pennsyvania law, if any, on time limits on how long a summons can loom over a person like this?
