Hi guys, I am new to all this and have been thinking about doing a debt settlement with Armored Debt Center. They are a member of TASC, but not of the BBB. What do you guys think?

I've checked the BBB website and have found that there are no complaint registered against Armored Debt Center with the BBB. Moreover, they are members of IAPDA and TASC. So I think it may be a good company to settle your debts. However, you should also do your own research before registering with a debt settlement company. You may also check the link debt settlement companies for a list of good debt settlement companies.

Debt settlement companies do what you can do yourself. Credit card companies will work with you if you have a true hardship, it just takes time and patience. Save your money and when you have about 50% of what you owe start negotiating with your creditors. I settled over $130,000 in debt and I did it myself.

DON'T DO IT!! I am getting out of their program now. Better to try to settle with the credit card companies yourself and not waste all your money on their fees.
