No I am not kidding, and I wish I'd never done it to begin with. I live in a high end community and if you are even 1 day late there is a 20% late fee issued, which for me is $250.00. In addition to that, $25 a day, for almost 15 days.....it adds up. I fibbed and said my bank account had been drained from fraudulent charges, so that is what caused the check to bounce, and they were cool with it, and let me out of the charges. They said just have your bank write something up that we can show our corporate office. I thought nothing of it at the time, and even consulted many people on the matter. That particular bank has been in the news all week because almost 50% of their members have had their accounts hacked in the last week, due to a massive takeover of the branch. We all just got new bank cards in the mail, and I guess someone got ahold of the numbers, and drained everyone's accounts. So I thought for sure they would never check on it. Do you have any idea of the charges I could face? I am the General Manager of a high end hotel and this could cause me to loose my job, if I am arrested at work!
