THis is really hard you guys. We are so behind on bills that I had to pay the extra van and car payment to keep them off my axx, but then, the rent is due, what do I tell her? OMG, THIS SUCKS!

I'm so sorry to hear that...I know you were battling several pdls too. I think it would have been better to just keep the money for the rent because you do need shelter...but then again you need to get to work too! Sad

Tell her? the landlord?? If so, be honest with her bf! Tell her about how the pdl's were a thorn in ur side and ur working on that. Most times when u explain to people they understand and are willing to work with u!
Take a deep breath, try to relax (i know easier said than done) but it will work out!

I left her a message (the landlord) and told her that I needed her to call me about the rent. We only need a little over a week, never been late before, hopefully she will understand. We'll see.

Ang is right, just be honest with her. Tell her that you are getting things under control. You just need a little bit of time.

You never know, she may totally understand and let you slide a bit. You don't know until you ask.

Have you gotten any free counseling from this site yet? Some people have had success with Langhorne. They deal with PDLs but, they are a settlement company and not a consolidation company so it will affect your credit for a while. This may sound stupid but if you have any old or broken gold jewelry lying around that has no sentiment attached? it is trading at close to 700.00 per ounce right now and some places will pay up to 85%. It helped us out greatly when we paid the rent and there was nothing left.Any other ides?

Good bf! Tell her the truth.... it usually works! we used to own rent houses and it's MUCH better to hear from ur tenant than them avoiding u!!

If you haven't been late before, I would hope she'd give you this break. It's not like your asking to live free for the month, just a little more time to get the money together.

Let us know what she says . . . If not maybe we can figure out something else real fast . . . .

I am battling that as well, that's why we are soooo behind right now. I have cleared 4 of them in the last week but still have 5 that aren't budging AT ALL, Even though I have overpaid two of them . They aren't even responding to me.
