Anyone know anything, or have dealt with this company? Just wondering how they are, and if they work with people with bad credit.

I checked them out on the Better Business Bureau website and there are numerous companies under that name. Many are not members of BBB, and some have unsatisfactory ratings.
It might do you good to shop around some more.

Beneficial is a division of Household, if that helps. Household can be difficult to deal with at times.

Ewww..Household!
Don't they have that bad credit, credit card service? They charge something like 25% apr plus additional "fees"..They're as bad as pdls.
Shop around or join your local credit union, they have the best rates.

My friend has had a bad experience with Household. The interest rates are very high and they don't offer any help to the people during emergencies, even though you are trying to pay them. Like erzeke1 said, I will shop for some other company.

Not all Household is bad, we have a 2nd mortgage w/HFC another division of Household and have actually not had any trouble with them - luckily.

During the hurricanes here last year, I missed one payment with them because we had to evacuate.
(Yes, I once had a credit card from them)
They didn't give one hoot about it, they just wanted their money.

Is your credit score above 550? if so you should be able to find a company to deal with. I do not know what state you are in but you should be able to get not a great rate but also something that will not kill you either. There are a lot of mortgage companies that are dealing with people with bad credit but there are some things you need to look for.
Interest rate and how many point they are taking in the back of the loan - they can say they are not getting much money but if they are taking money from you at the back of the loan this also increases your interest rate. What state do you live in? and is this Joing - Husband /wife or just yourself?

No...my credit is bad...above 500 is pretty decent. Mine is more like 300 ranges, terrible. Well, we are supposed to be joint on the mortgage, my husband and myself. I am on the property deed with my husband, but for some reason when Chase took over our mortgage, I am no longer on it. I was at the closing and signed papers, Chase says I am a liar. I have the original loan papers, from the original company. But Chase sent nothing to us when they took over, except for a letter saying so, then monthly mortgage statements. Which to me means that we go with the terms of the original loan, which would mean no escrow, since I have a signed escrow waiver. But Chase says that does not matter and they can open an escrow account if the deem necessary.

Sounds like you are getting screwed over by Chase, have you tried to get legal help at all? You may be able to get free help.

Yeah, Chase loves to screw people over, just because they can. We called an attorney who reviewed our contract for free, and said that he thinks we do have a case, but unfortunately he wanted money to pursue it, which we do not have right now. We are hoping to sell the house and get away from Chase forever. I will make sure I never recommend them to anyone. Not even for a checking account.

We have a second mortgage with Beneficial as well and they have actually been quiet nice to deal with. I know this sounds odd coming from me. I don't know how they are about first mortgages but their credit card department sucks.

Mishele, ultimately, the things that matter most is to get the positive results. So, if you are happy with Beneficial, it doesn't become odd. Most people find themselves in pesky situations with some companies and it's good that you are getting fruitful results. I read in your other posts about your settlement company also seems to be good. I am glad that things are working pretty well at your end.
