I have 2 cards, one with 12000 balance, one with 11000.I have a good job which i have been on for 24 years.I have MAYBE 10000 equity in house. Both 1st and second mortgage with bofa as well as checking account.I was wondering the likelyhood of getting sued if i tried to settle. Also have chase and juniper with balances of around 8500 each and several other cards with from 3800 down to 2300.I am going to try the 4 biggest first but i really don't know what to do.I need to do something but can't quite pull the trigger.Thank you

Yes, chances of getting sued by the creditor cannot be totally wiped out if you are in a debt settlement program. However, you can avoid legal actions once the creditors come to know that you are paying under such program.
