Crying or Very sad Just when I thought that I had a handle on my bills, I get remarried and my new husband helps me get my credit down the drain. He is a young guy and has a hard time with money. I tried to say no, but ended up with more bills than we can handle. We both had our cars repo and still own for that. I want to do a bankruptcy just to clear out everything and start over again. I want to get my life and credit back where it should be.

Check out the Free consultation link on the right of your screen (under Our Services) or call the number right above that. Once you've entered (or told a rep) your situation they can point you in the right direction.

If you still have lots of bills you can try a consolidation company, they help you budget and get back on track. Most people here will say that Bankruptcy should be a last resort, I've been through it myself and would not recommend it.

And remember that your credit will take a while to get back on track, bankruptcy or no. Just take a deep breath, don't give up and keep at it. And send your husband to a budgeting class, he needs to learn to appreciate what he does have and quit wanting for more. (I can say that because I'm the one in my relationship that kept wanting more bills) You need to stand up and take the financial situation back.

And coming here was a good step in the right direction. Welcome

You will have problems in rebuilding credit in the beginning after filing for bankruptcy. This is not the only option you have to do the repair. You may try a consolidation program or in case, you can't afford the payments, go for a debt settlement86 plan. Consolidation is much better than debt settlement and bankruptcy. But, if it is easier for you to pay the monthly amount in the debt settlement plan, you won't have to think about bankruptcy. Speak with a debt consultant who will budget your finances and set up a plan. After giving your consent, he will start negotiating with your creditors.

I think that the advice that you have received is good advice. Follow it and let us know how things are going. I have been down the bankruptcy road and is not a good one. It should only be your last resort.
