I just finished the program with Everest Debt Solutions. Here are my statistics. I settled over $30k worth of credit card debt for $9237.68. It took me 19 months to do so. I paid $3800 in fees for a total savings of $17,000+. I also just received a refund from them of $982.37 which was in my Global Client Solutions Accounts. My wife and I just booked a trip online to visit our daughter that left for college a week ago. I would like to thank everyone at Everest Debt Solutions for their efforts. Everest helped us coordinate our lives back on track and helped us every step of the way. Tim Daniels and his settlement team are the best in the industry hands down. Tim if you see this call me anytime! I would welcome the opportunity to provide references for you! Thank you so much for everything you have done!

Is it just me or does anyone else think these testimonial posts are being posted by Everest Debt Solutions or FDN? Some of these were also posted on a recent article I wrote about EDS and came from the same IP address as the alleged "general counsel" of EDS, Steve Sanders.

Paul,

Just makes me mad as hell. In my case they never answered the questions I raised and posted the "testimonials" as a defense I guess. Some companies are their own worst enemies.

I loved researching FDN and EDS and discovered their business address is a UPS postal mailbox. How legit is that for a company that claims to be among the largest debt settlement companies?

What's a PDL?

Steve

Steve,

In there defense, I work for a multi-million dollar educational software company, and we have a P.O. box that alot of mail comes to.....what is the big deal. If you were running a major business, would you want 15 pounds of junk mail delivered to you everyday.

rvl,

I get that. In fact, that's what I used to do when I had lots of mail coming in for my business but we also had a street address.

In this case the folks don't appear to exist except for the ether and either don't have or don't want to disclose their official place of business. That I find very suspicious.

If someone asked you for the business address for your multi-million dollar educational software company so they could check you out before doing business with you, you'd give it to them, wouldn't you?

Steve

Everest East Address 13051 West Linebaugh Rd Building P Suite 101 Tampa Florida 33626

Everest West Address 17621 Irvine Blvd Suite 209 Tustin California 92780

I called and got both of their addresses immediately. Steve are you the same guy caught selling leads from a self help site to Credit Solutions which has over 1,500 BBB complaints and EDS has 1? I think Steve Rhodes is a scam.

My name is Cheryl and I am a currently working with EDS to settle my credit card debts. I have been in the program and have made roughly 19 payments. I have settled 4 of 5 credit cards and I have saved $17,000 with EDS off of my balances. Recently I was reading online about debt settlement and noticed the Steve Rhodes website. I called client services at EDS and they warned me again after sending all of their clients an email last month about the Steve Rhodes scam. This is a open forum community and I would like to warn the community about Steve Rhodes. In a time that consumers need reliable companies to do the job at hand I feel that EDS has lived up to its commitments and I applaud their service work. The mockery of their ethics is deplorable at best and the community should remove posts and commentary like this to promote good business practices.

sorry, but there is nothing steve says that is not true.of course your company orders us to delete him while allowing shill posts like yours to exist.not gonna happen.EDS is a scam, and steve is right.funny how you mention him by name.must really have the goods, and you don't want it to be known.scams like this are not what people need now.maybe if EDS had good business pratices they wouldn't be on this forum as a scam.think about it.

about the PO box, the big deal is that it often means they do not have a physical address. at all. which means they might be overseas, they might be working out of a back room somewhere.. you never know.

I used fdn solutions starting in March of 2008 with Debt total close to 30k. I have settled most of it and right now I have remaining only 1 card with a balance of 2400 which i should be settling for about 800 I would assume.. I got the best deal in a citi card i had with a balance of 12,500 which they settled for only $$1450.. Unbelivable deal which i didnt even beleive and called citi a few days ago which they confirmed..If you dont care about your credit going bad..I would recommend this company 100% great customer service too

i'm glad you got results, but did they inform you of the fact that every penny of the 11,050.00 is now considered taxable income.as long as that was understood then you got a great deal.

I waited to respond to you regarding the taxes issue. we just filed today and apparently the IRS created a clause for such income basically stating that if your financial situation is so bad you are not required to pay back taxes because it is unearned income for that year. basically if you filed bankruptcy you would have to pay taxes on the whole amount and if you go BK you can't afford to pay tazes on it which is why the IRS made a rule basically excusing the income.

Also i just settled that other account for 745 dollars over 4 payments and i will be debt free in april. We are very pleased with the services of everest debt solutions and we are happy. First time in over 10 years we have no credit card debt.

remember the creditors that you are working with my choose to right it off as bad debt, that dose not mean that you dont owe the money, it just means that things just got a lot better for you, someone else is now going to try and get the money from you and this is going to be a lot harder for them. look up the laws.

I settled my Bank Of America account through EDS in February of 2010. My question is this.

Why did Bank Of America send me a letter saying that I can apply for a new card when I just settled an account of $28,000 for $5,600?

I saved over $23,000 with EDS and B Of A wants to loan me more money. What is the deal?
