Okay... after reading this about EDS, I have to quickly cancel. They collected one payment. I hope to God I don't have to close my bank account to stop the payments from coming out in the future. I wish I would have seen this before hand. That is really poor judgment.

Everest Debt Solutions is bad news. I almost got tricked by them and checked with the Wisconsin Attonrey General who now sent them a letter.to get my first payment back They are not even licensed to do business in all the states they say they are. They put on their website they are BBB members even though the BBB says they are not. That is a fact, go check that out on the BBB. I didn't check at first and after I signed up found out what a scam they are running. Look on their website, they don't even give the names of anyone at the company and I couldn't find Everest Debt Solutions listed as a business name in Florida - very shady. When I found out they were just taking out fees the first couple months it got me thinking and I'm glad I found out before I lost my money to them. Oh they told me to stop paying my credit card bills and the calls started immediately! I found a credit counseling program and the funny thing is it is about the same money as Everest and just a little bit longer - a much better choice for me.

I've been with Everest for over a year with 80K in debt do to medical bills, ID theft, and bad financial mgmt on my part. What I find is this. It seems the credit card companies are the ones that put the dirt out on the internet because they do not want settlements of any type to take place. Hey the Govt bailed them out, we deserve the same. Everest got me a deal with BofA in which I paid 8000 of a 25000 debt. It's true you have to play the game of avoiding collection calls as this merely positions everest to make a better deal for you. In regards to different company names, businesses of all sorts do this all the time as advised by their legal staffs. Mostly do to tax sheltering. Don't look into that as illicit behavior. Everest gets a grade A from me. They try to help their clients, they get a bad rap by those vested against debt collection, plus some within their own industry are scammers, so it's hard to find the real deal. Well Everest is.

My husband and I signed up with everest 2 months ago and now I'm scared we're being ripped off. I read good reviews on here but wonder if they are from real people or the scammers at Everest sitting behind a desk. If you infact have used Everest and can prove to me you're a real person could you please email me? tonys_momma@comcast.net thanks.
