Your best bet, is to contact the Better Business Bureau in there area. If they are a member with good standing, they are most likely a good company. If you find out that they are not a member or have had numerous complaints on them, run away from them.

Shop with few other companies and know their plan. You will be able to compare the quotes and finalize the suitable company according to your situation. See the ranking chart for companies working in your area. You will also be sure if anyone is trying to charge more from you. Make sure that you have read the contact thoroughly and everything is put in writing.

My husband and I started in there program back in 2004 and we are almost completely settled. If was rough the first 6 months but once we settled the first Chase account the rest of the creditors backed off and I we haven't run into any issues. My sister in-law has started working with FDN since April.
I gave there number to an in-law so I support there service. |

I joined FDN's program in March of this year. So far they have settled about 20% of my debts and things are moving in the right direction as far as the plan we arranged and the estimates in the beginning. Some of what helped is that they spread out there fees alot longer than some of the larger companies out there. I think their staff is friendly too.

Any updates with this company? I started with them a few months ago and the creditors are starting to call now. Kind of getting nervous as they seem a little flippant to the situation. If anyone else who has started with them recently has had any success please tell me about it.

hi egordon420 - i started in january and i went through the same thing. i had my reservations as well about the calls but finally they stopped and i haven't been getting bothered as recently. there isn't a law from what i understand that prohibits the creditors from calling you and fdn solutions cannot stop the calls. i was told that the more i answer the phone the more calls i will get because the creditors then will know when to call me. stick with it. i settled an account in july for 21% of the balance i owed and it was done professionally and my husband and i are starting to realize we made a good choice.

I have been searching online to find a legitimate debt settlement company and I seem to be running into alot of sales people promising the world. I saw on yahoo answers that FDN solutions was used by someone and they have had tremendous success. I called FDN and I now realize why they haven't had any complaints. They are brutally honest. The agent at FDN told me all of the bad things that happen with debt settlement before he talked about the potential success I could have. I chose FDN for debt settlement and if anyone ever wants to do debt settlement FDN should be a first pick if at all possible and they are willing to take your debts and settle them.

i'm familiar with resqdebt and a few other debt settlement companies. one piece of advice is to call the settlement dept as soon as you have 20-40% of the balance of your lowest card in your savings. they usually try to estimate this time by the program you set up and call you, but be proactive and work call them. that will spur them to go into the negotiation process or include your account with any bulk deals that are in process of negotiaions with creditors.

I graduated from FDN's debt settlement program and I can't thank them enough. They always handled my account with integrity and compassion. FDN deserves a kudos and I would definitely trust their services as a trusted debt settlement company.

FDN is shady as shady can get....They have no website listed, claim to be BBB members on some of there sites including everest debt solutions but then there is no record of them and they use some generic logos on there other sites.
When I called them they didn't have a good explanation. Maybe thats why they have a D- rating with the BBB even they they claim to be BBB Accredited members. I would look else where at maybe some of the bigger companies out there. It appears to be a husband and wife business. |

To Guest: I see your response above is one of ignorance as the BBB as a whole has concerns regarding the debt settlement industry and blanket the entire industry with an F or D-. When I consulted with Everest they mentioned to me that they have helped over 10,000 Americans with debt settlement and have 0 complaints with the BBB. In comparison T-Mobile reports that 5% of their consumers are unhappy with services provided. However they have an A + rating with the BBB. How is that a fair and equal playing field. Lastly I would put my trust and money in a family business anyday. I suggest calling FDN/Everest vs Credit Solutions and see who provides a better quality of service.

I am currently enrolled with Everest for debt settlement services and I am thrilled to see a company that still takes pride in working with its customers to resolve issues. Two weeks ago I received a letter in the mail from Chase Card Services saying that they planned to sue me for the balance on my credit card account. I called Everest and asked for their advice. They had me fax over the paperwork. 3 hours after that fax I received probably one of the best calls of my life. Not only did Everest settle with Chase avoiding my lawsuit but they also settled my account for 26% of the balance owed. The negotiations department at Everest not only settled with my creditors but also made me a part of the process. Thank You Everest!
