I have a credit card debt of $11500 and was not able to make minimum payment for a while and now creditors attorney has filed a law suit and I have received a court date. Want to know what options do I have. Shall I make a direct settlement with the creditors attorney and what approach should I use to deal with them?

If you have received a summons for court you need to answer that complaint. I have not heard of anyone settling after they receive a court date and before the hearing, that doesnt mean it can't be done. I would think it may be in your best interest to consult an attorney who would know how to settle this matter before a judgment is issued.

I have read of people settling their debt after a judgment is issued.
