Going crazy with the credit cards

Hi everyone!
My name is John and I went a little crazy with the credit cards. I had a handyman service on the side and I bought way too many tools. Now I'm thinking about giving it up and I'm stuck with tools that I really won't use. On top of that I'm an impulse spender and fishing geek. I've spent way beyond my means and am dragging my lovely and very frugal wife into this mess. The total debt is about 10K and we're making the payments for now, but soon the money will run out and we'll be in even worse trouble. I'm glad I found this site and I hope I can get the help I need. In the meantime, my cards have been confiscated and I have been given a good enough reality check so I won't keep spending.
I'm glad it's not as bad as some poeple have it, but I still want to get out of the position I'm in. I would like to hear from all of you who have made it out of the same kind of mess.

J...there are several things I can think of right away. Sell all the stuff your not using...it may help to put a dent in your debt. Depending on how crucial your credit score is to you...you could also do a debt consolidation or debt management program...the latter can sometimes reduce interest and late/over limit fee's etc. As a registered guest you can take advantage of the free consult...they may have more ideas for you also.

I'm not going to part with the fishing gear. But the tools I am in the process of selling.

Take the free consultation while you still have manageable debt. It's good you have a frugal partner.
