Maybe Chase Bank was not good to my husband because he became blind and mentally ill.My husband had 4 credit cards with Chase bank and he had paid and closed 3 credit cards with chase.when he became blind in 1993,he lost his job,he didnt drive anymore.my husband was paying the last chase credit card.the last Chase credit card had 4000,oo dollars.my husband paid chase with checks every month a 100.00 dollars but chase didnt changed his checks and vanished.
the chase card increased to 10.000 dollars and my husband went to court with me.
my husband has retinitis pigmentosa in both eyes and he is in social security disability.i have to take care of my husband and my family is helping me with bills here.
It is forbid to guarnish from social security disability.
Washington mutual became chase and i closed my account in the chase bank.
I do not like Chase bank.
when my husband had a good vision and he paid a 500,00 a month to Chase and closed all three cards from Chase...

Took me about 140 days of being late before I got the 40% settlement I wanted. They counter-offered to settle for 35% if I could do a lump sum. I never had a problem with Chase reps or the collection dept they sent me to. You just have to wait it out. In the meantime, save as much $$ as you can so you can settle.

I found chase really easy to deal with. Settled for 26K on a 40K balance after less then 30 days late and 1 card still current.
