I dont know how much debt I have...my car is about 20000 and I have 3000 in credit card debt. I dont know how my credit is, and I am trying to get a new apartment w/furniture, a tv, etc. i am trying to clear up everything before I move to my new place. I just got a raise at work, Im making decent money now, but i still cant finance furniture for some reason.

Do you know what your credit score is? That has a lot to do with financing.

Go through your credit copies and get the names of the creditors you owe money to. Tell them that you want to clear off the accounts and would like to work out some payment arrangements. They will be willing to work on your terms. Your scores will move up after each account gets paid off. You may also seek professional help in negotiating with your creditors. They will get a lower interest rate in your repayments with the creditors. Stick to the plan and you will on your way to a debt free life.
