Steelers1 is right. I know from experience. I know what you're going through right now. That's how I was, actually until yesterday. I have four PDLs out, all of them internet, only one licensed. I received an e-mail from one stating he marked my account paid in full and was willing to send me a $150 refund. The second was a phone call where she agreed to mark my account paid in full. Hang in there. It WILL HAPPEN, and you'll be rid of those PDLs before you know it!

I promise it will get better. Just tackle each pdl and follow through. I had 3 and they have all been paid in full and I've received 800.00 in refunds. When my paycheck was direct deposited on 10/11/in my new checking account, it was a wonderful feeling to see that a total of 185.00 in rollover fees was not there and will not be there on my next payday. I just found this site on 10/3/06 and all 3 of my pdl's are marked paid in full. I listened to Steelers 1 and everyone else and did not back down when the pdl reps tried to intimidate me. It truly works, and if you run into a problem come here and ask anything you need to know, someone will have an answer or be willing to find the what you need to know. You're right, you're going to be OK!!!!!

Tasha, You will be ok, the stress level goes down once you face this head on, it is like a feeling of relief that something is going to happen rather than the feeling of avoidance. It is real hard but keep coming back here for support and advice. This site has been very sucessful in improving my feeling of hopelessness that I would be stuck here forever. Now I feel there is an end in sight, it may not very close but it is a lot closer than it was a couple months ago. Hang in there, you can do it.

Tasha,You will be ok. I became a member in September and it is amazing what all I've learned in just this short of time. It has truly helped and encouraged me. I had 6 pdl's (5 internet and 1 store front). I was so stressed out that I was having health problems because of it. It has made me feel so much better that I can come here and ask questions and talk about my financial problems with people who know how I feel and that are able too give advice that really works. So far, the store front pdl is letting me pay $20 a week until I get them paid off (I owe them $577.50) and 1 internet pdl has marked my account paid in full! Believe me it will get better and less stressful. We're all here to help.

Another thing to keep in mind Tasha, is that you're not alone in this! I know it made me feel lots better just knowing that there were other people out there in the same (or worse) situation as I am!
I'm not out of the woods yet, but I know I'll get there! Hang in there...we'll all get there sooner or later!

Hi Tasha,
What you're feeling is NORMAL!! Trust me, it'll work out...I had 6 pdls in default last year, and now I am a member of the PDL survivor club!! Sooner than you think it'll be ok. Hang in there, we are all here for you.

Finsfan, you need to start a thread titled: PDL SURVIVAL CLUB, and each time a person becomes pdl free they sign on the thread. You need to come up with a good motto/creed.

isn't it wonderful!! Sometimes though, I'm still afraid when the phone rings, I wonder if that ever really goes away. It's been 7 months for me now.

Yes, I know the feeling. Now when I get those 800/877/866 numbers popping up, I'm a little weary of them, it is usually a telemarketer, I got one the other day and it was a computer call from our school district telling me to come to college night.
