Here is another topic that we all see alot debt counseling and settlement. The Wv Attorney General has reached settlements with 4 such companies that will result in refunds of 517000 to Wv consumers. debt relief of America LP of Dallas Tx, Fidelity Debt Consultants Clearwater Fl, David Huffman dba Freddom Group San Diego Ca, New Horizon Debt Relief of Aliso Viego Ca. Just once again PLEASE if you are dealing with any Illegal companies or have been abused by these companies Please file those complaints. KYSIDE38

Do you have any idea how long will it take to get the refunds? It will be good to see the innocent people getting their money back from these scum companies.

Usually the refunds come within 60 days of settlement. A lot of checks to cut folks. KYSIDE38

60 days is pretty fast, hopefully the debt collectors are a little understanding. This just leaves the folks that used these companies in the hands of the collectors.

The Ftc has filed against a few too in the last couple months.Go to their enforcement page and click on actions by date.
